What is aloha mattresses made of?
Our aloha mattresses are made with organic, 100% natural latex rubber. aloha organic mattresses have passed the rigorous review process of the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), meeting the industry’s highest environmental safety criteria. Plus, these are non-toxic and chemical-free, making aloha organic mattresses biodegradable and environmentally safe. With aloha, you can feel at ease knowing you are choosing a mattress that is not only better for you, but also the planet.
What certifications does aloha have?
Aloha is serious about your well-being, which is why we have taken the time to get multiple 3rd party quality audits and checks to ensure we are using the best possible materials for your health and the planet. Our latex is GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard) Certified and free from petroleum-based polyurethane foams, and uses water-based adhesives.
Is the latex foam used in aloha mattresses synthetic or blended?
Aloha mattress and pillows are 100% certified organic Dunlop latex and made in our factory situated in Kerala, India.
How Does GOLS Certification Matter for Latex?
Buying a GOLS Certified Organic Latex Mattress is important as different certifications make different claims. This can make it difficult to determine if the mattress you’re about to purchase is partially or completely made using pure, naturally-sourced latex.
For example, some mattresses have labels that claim the product is “all-natural.” But a label like this is meaningless if there are no authentic certifications. Also, a mattress labelled as an “organic mattress” may have some certified organic materials in it, such as an organic cotton cover. But, the inside materials may be filled with chemicals and fillers. Certified organic materials must make up 95% of the materials in a mattress to truly qualify as an “organic mattress”. There should be no harmful chemicals, hybrid fillers, or synthetic latex used in the manufacturing process.

What is OEKO-Tex 100 Certification?
OEKO-Tex is a certification body comprising 18 global independent research and test institutes in the field of textile ecology. When an article/product bears the stamp of the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate, it ensures the article is rigorously tested and contains zero harmful substances. The materials in our mattresses are 100% OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified. They are safe for human-ecological standards and certified carbon neutral. We take comfort in knowing that we make the best non-toxic mattresses in India.
What is eco-INSTITUTE Certified?
The eco-INSTITUTE, located in Cologne, Germany, is an independent organisation with more than 25 years of experience testing products for the presence of pollutants and emissions. The eco-INSTITUTE certification assures that the latex does not contain even a single trace of hazardous chemicals and will not off-gas undesirable chemicals and odours into your home. Some of the chemicals the eco-INSTITUTE certification test include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), phthalates, formaldehyde, pesticides, heavy metals, and persistent organic pollutants.
